Following the merger between SFR Luxembourg and its direct competitor in the Luxembourg telecommunications sector, the top management realized that the new company had a competitive advantage. Indeed, its competitor and market leader did not cover the entire country with fiber and in some areas, it only provided ADSL with a very low speed while the merged SFR Luxembourg could provide a speed of 1 Gigabit.
We had to take advantage of this competitive advantage and target these high potential prospects, as they could benefit from ultra high speed internet for the same price. After analysis we realized that we needed to target these prospects in a local way for a high return on investment and a huge success.
For this, we decided to use the internet boxes present in each street that our client covered and you had them every 50 meters. We decided to cover these 50cm high boxes with a QR code with the slogan "Here you have access to ultra high speed internet." When the prospect flashed this QR code he could discover our client's services on his smartphone in an augmented reality world.
This strategy really allows to target prospects locally and to reach them on the one hand through the emotion of augmented reality which is an intriguing thing by the youngest and less young. All you need is a smartphone and a mobile internet access. Below you will discover the process for the prospect in the street.
The prospect walks down the street and sees the internet box covered with the QR code and other visual elements that will catch his attention. He scans the QR code and finds himself in an immersive world on his smartphone and discovers that he has access to ultra high speed internet at home. He can find out if he is eligible by pressing the icon in question. He is redirected to a landing page of the telecom group and he just has to fill in the questionnaire to discover if he is eligible.
If he is eligible, he just has to subscribe directly online and if he is not able to do it right away, he was sent an email with the necessary information to allow him to continue his subscription once he is settled at home.
The competitive advantage in addition to this modern street marketing and augmented reality strategy made it possible to target high-potential prospects, attract them and convert them, all within minutes.
